| September 2010, Host Jim Triplett **** ( at his home NE of Ames ) **** |
|
|
|
Chapter member Jim Triplett is going above and beyond to host us at his home NE of Ames.
The main attraction is to view Jim’s airplane build project. Jim has arranged for us to observe local aviation expert Wayne Bausch perform a tech inspection on the project. Wayne will also be available for questions. At the conclusion of the meeting Jim has asked for some extra pairs of hand to help dismantle the wings from the fuselage, in order to later transport his project to the airport.
If that is not enough, Jim is also providing hot dogs, salad, pop and beer. The only item you need to bring is a folding chair.
Jim lives at 2364 Quail Ridge Rd , which is in a rural housing development just off of North Dayton Rd, north of the USDA National Animal Disease Center.

Don’t miss the regular EAA 1452 June meeting. It will be Monday evening June 14th at
6 pm. Christian Ledet has graciously agreed to host us at his hangar at the Ames airport. Christian’s hangar is the blue hangar located just south of Hap’s maintenance shop on the east side of the airport. Christian has some interesting airplanes to look at, as well as a future Chapter 1452 building project to consider.
Come hungry as the chapter is going to provide burgers and dogs on the grill. If anyone would like to fly, pull or push their airplane over to Christian’s hangar for the evening, for us to gawk at, that would be wonderful.
